'Aurora' has been slowly gestating for almost one and a half years and was released digitally on the new moon of the 1st of September. Occult Whispers Records will release a compilation on cassette titled ‘Auroræ’ which will include both ‘Aurora’ and ‘Void Watcher’ EPs.

I had concerns about using the same moniker of ‘Void Watcher’ for this release as the name bears direct connection to the concept behind the debut; while on the surface 'Aurora' deals entirely with a journey of personal and interpersonal matters rather than esotericism.

Ultimately I decided to keep the name—not in attempt to divorce it from the previous connotation (as that is still a central subject to me as an individual), but to stress the multi-faceted nature of all of us and how all things are interwoven and entangled together.

Because beneath the surface of the apparent themes and topics, ‘Aurora’ speaks about impermanence—specifically the distress that is self-inflicted when it is coupled with attachment. It is a story that many can relate to and is to act as a reminder that what you seek—what we all ultimately seek—is within, not without.

Another difference with 'Aurora' is the number of people who have contributed to it. While—as the name and concept suggests—the debut was produced entirely alone, it has been a great privilege this time to have some very special friends involved:
